Southern Caribbean Here We Come

Well our family, including Buzz and Woody, flew out of Philly to San Juan PR to board the Caribbean Princess. http://www.princess.com/learn/ships/cb/index.html. The largest ship Peter and I had ever been on. We were excited and happy to have the boys with us. We were directed to our cabin and low and behold we had been upgraded to a balcony. Kyle and Tyler told me, t-shirts and video games were not going to cut it as far as Christmas presents after this.  : )  We unpacked and decided to go explore the ship.
after our tour we had dinner in the dining room, it was quite tasty.
Our first stop is St. Thomas, initially we thought we would travel to St. John's to go snorkeling but decided it would be good to let Kyle and Tyler sleep a tad later and so Peter found out about a small island just across from our dock, called Water Island. We took a water taxi over to the island walked to the beach
We stayed there all day enjoying the calm waters and warm weather. Peter warned me to put some sunscreen on, but oh no I could not listen to the wise one and chose to use suntan lotion. Yeah, not a good idea. But that was a lesson learned. I had not been that badly burned since I was going into 8th grade. Of course I didn't realize this until it was too late. Made sure the boys used sunscreen . . .
Buzz and Woody made a friend, Mr. Snake, of course at this point they didn't know he was friendly and were trying to move quickly away.

Buzz & Woody ready to go snorkeling
It was time to head back to the ship but Buzz and Woody didn't want to go. They were having too much fun. I reminded them that there were several other islands to still discover and they reminded me that, that's what I had said last time and we were suppose to head to Grand Turk and we all know how that ended up ( see post about Grand Turk in January). After much coaxing we were able to convince them to come down and join us back to the water taxi and on to the Caribbean Princess.

Can we take this one out for a spin?
Next port Dominica
