Buzz and Woody take a bite out of the Big Apple

The premier of their 3rd film together opened this weekend. Buzz and Woody were in Times Square to check out their new billboard. Along with them came a bevy of beautiful women. AKA "The Nieces" Mallory, Alaina and Claire.
We traveled through lower Manhattan/Chinatown/Little Italy in search of deals on sunglasses and bags with no avail. We hopped a cab to THE PLAZA for a spot of tea.

We traveled up towards the Met and browsed their book store and then walked through Central Park. You couldn't have asked for a nicer day. Low humidity, sunshine, light breeze. It was beautiful.
Then back to 5th avenue and seeing the sights
"uhh Buzz, I don't think we're in Andy's room any more. "
Well that's all for today. See you across the country in July for our road trip.

Buzz and Woody in Boston

The daring duo head to Beantown. We came in on Friday and stayed with Kristin and David Shapiro and their two sweetheart children Jack and Brennan. They were kind enough to give us lodging as they were preparing to head to Ireland on Saturday. We had a wonderful dinner cooked by David and great conversation. I  have to say each time we see them it makes me wish we were a tad closer. Would love to be available to watch Brennan and Jack and also just chat with Kristin and David. Our niece, Alaina was with us and her comment was "What a great family." I couldn't agree more.
As they headed out the door on Saturday. We watched a bit of world cup USA vs. England, then headed out the door ourselves to see Boston. We took the mass transit into town. A short walk from the Shapiro abode.

Waiting for the train.

We came into the downtown of Beantown and walked about in the rain.

We headed home and were excited for our next day out to Fenway Park. BoSox vs. the Phillies
Thanks David for hooking us up with some amazing seats behind home plate and undercover so no rain fell on us. : )
The boys after the game.
Woody couldn't believe we were at Fenway and that the Phills won, as the previous two games the Phills were not so fortunate.
Good bye Fenway. Thanks for a great time.
Now to Cambridge

On the Harvard campus.
Next stop NYC

In Memory of LOST

With it being the the series finale of Lost tonight,  I thought it might be appropriate to put these last few photos from the last couple of days of my stay in Hawaii out here to share. I used to tell people that if Colorado had an ocean it would be heaven. Well touring the island I felt this place was perfect. Mountains and ocean. Heaven on Earth.

The Northshore
Waves were a bit light that day but I could imagine during the winter they must be awesome.

Audrey laughing at me as I try and take a picture of Buzz and Woody with Chinaman's Hat in the background. This is near Kualoa Ranch which is where a good portion of Lost as well as many films were filmed.

Monkey Pod Trees.
Yes a grown woman is having her picture taken with "action figures" on a film location. I know I am such a geek.

Ahh was that the MIB or Jacob? ( those Losties will understand)

This shot was taken on the Northshore.
This one too.

One our adventures we went to visit Audrey's home where she grew up in Kailua it's now been torn down by Ed Catmull, one of the head honchos at Pixar. It looked like it was an amazing home.  I thought it was appropriate for Buzz and Woody to check out the sight.
"So do you think we'll be invited out here to bond with Ed?"
The funny story is that while I was taking these photos Matthew Fox was walking down the street with his dog. I'm sure he didn't find it odd at all for a grown woman to take photos of "action figures" at a construction sight. No not at all. And no, I didn't ask him for a  photo with the boys.  Oh well maybe next time.
Kailua Beach
These were taken right before I headed to the airport.

Aloha Hawaii. Hope to return soon.
